Thyroid gland produces two hormones – T3 (tri-iod thyroxine) and T4 (thyroxine). These hormones control body temperature, metabolism and heart rate. The thyroid gland is controlled by the pituitary gland which is present in the brain. This releases Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH).
